Chunky Driftwood lighthouse

I love this piece. The pieces of driftwood used are really beautiful.

I really like the Rusty hinge on the top right and the hole in the middle of the piece looks really cool.

I added some washers to the top of the lightouse which I think top it off nicely.

The driftwood Tug boat

This is a cute little Tug boat I made from wood collected on a walk with Saffy the dog on Dinas Dinlle beach near Caernarfon. Im always amazed at the bits you find when your out and about.

I painted on some colour to brighten it up and added some buntings to make it look a bit more beachy.

I love using the nails to make the chimneys and buntings, luckily I found a big old tub of rusty nails down in the barn.

Driftwood Lighthouse

This is my first attempt at making a lighthouse out of wood foraged off the Beach.

It stands at about 10cm tall and around 15cm wide. I love the ridges on the driftwood island as well as the contrast between this and the Welsh Slate I used to make the base. The lighthouse is made from an small piece of wood that I picked up on the shores of the Menai Straits neir Felinheli. I will be putting this up on folksy and etsy soon....
